POEM: Statesmanship

Hi there,

I send my apologies for keeping you waiting without updating the blog. It is not unconnected to some freak activities.

Good enough! I'm back for good!!

In the post today, you'll find below a poem that is titled "Statesmanship". It is a political poem addressing the fallen state of stewardship and accountability to the people being represented. You'll find in the poem also how these factors put the posterity of our future in a cloudy view.

And with meticulous study and clear cut criticism, you should know that the poem is aimed at making sure that you know your rights and who some of your leaders are.

It's not all of them anyway, but you do know who's truly representing the people. Whether it is for personal interest or for the generality of the people. Read poem below...

STATESMANSHIP
Happy people were
Amused origin we had
We sought for nothing more or less than peace.

But it came to pass
Political merchants invaded
And bought our peace priceless.

And it came to pass
They disappeared into the thin air
Words were given that soon, we'll return.

The much expected never saw reality
Hovering and ozone layer altering
And horse mounting with high tired wheel
That knows no spot they had for their pride.

But with negligence and disdain
Have we been treated all the way.
