Why Always Sorry?

Do the right thing and sorry would go on extinction. This popular saying is highly instrumental.

Imagine a world of virtually everything being correct!
Imagine a world of no offense!
Imagine a world of no sorry, all because the people in it are faultless and flawless. People  become sorry and sorrowful as a result simple negligence, now this man's ordeals.

Along a busy road somewhere in Benue state, Otukpo precisely. At Emateyi junction, if you know the road, it is quite a busy one especially when the day folds up.

As usual, the Traffic warden was freely swinging his hands directing the vehicles on what to do, either to stop at both ends to allow those crossing the road to do so and as well ushers them to keep moving.

It happened in a flash when a motorcycle rider carelessly approached, he advanced without taking note but out-rightly ignored the warden's instructions, the rider was supposed to halt to give way to the pedestrians, but instead headed straight to navigate his way behind the warden, just at that spot, the warden stretched his hand and removed the rider's cap, it fell and he quickly picked it up, and within five seconds, other traffic officials appeared and bundled the motorcycle away. "What's going to happen to this man?" (a thought within me) I wouldn't know anyway.

To satisfy my curiosity, I moved close to them and listen to their interaction or interrogation rather. I could see him hold five hundred naira note in his hand begging and making a hundred pleas, and all he could say was, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry". But I thought within myself, "why sorry?" This could have been averted if he had done the right thing.

Knowing the right thing and refusing to do them is highly inimical and can create room for loss. He actually lost so many things.

He lost his dignity and integrity; all eyes were on him and he begged those he should not naturally beg.

He lost his money which could probably be used for other things.

He also lost a considerable amount of time doing what he not have done.

Why always sorry? Do the right thing and stop being sorry. Let sorry go on extinction! Do you believe that sorry could go on extinction?
