Singer Simone Battle commits suicide after battling depression

Beautiful singer Simone Battle best known as a member of girl group G.R.L has passed away. The 25 year old former X Factor contestant committed suicide in her home on Friday September 5th. Police say she was found hanging in a
closet in her bedroom around 8:30am.

A family friend revealed Simone had been quietly battling depression for a while.

Simone came to prominence as a contestant on US X-Factor in 2011. She was a finalist on the show, making it to the top 17 before being eliminated by her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell. She joined G.R.L in 2012 and just recently, their single 'Ugly Heart' went platinum in Australia. Sad she didn't find reasons to continue living.
